Our Easy 5-Step Process for FSC® Certification
Application and Contract: Apply online or via form to GCL International Ltd. for a quotation. Upon acceptance, return a signed copy and Scheme Rules.
Preparation for Initial Audit: Receive the latest FSC standards, self-assessment checklist, audit plan, and submit required lists. Sign the Trademark License agreement online.
Initial Certification Audit: Includes opening meeting, on-site audit, report preparation, and closing meeting. Certificate issued upon closure of major non-conformances, valid for 5 years.
Usage of FSC® Label: Certified organizations must get approval from GCL for each FSC logo or trademark usage, both promotional and on-product.
Surveillance and Re-certification Audits: GCL plans and conducts 4 surveillance audits per cycle, with detailed reports. Changes in scope require a scope enhancement audit. Re-certification audit before certificate expiry; a new certificate issued for 5 years upon closure of non-conformances.
